In the App – Instant and Direct

Open Personal Settings and select Delete Account. After a confirmation prompt, your access will be deleted immediately.

There is no waiting period and no grace period. No one on our team has to do anything manually, and no one sees your request.

Without the App – by Email

If you no longer have the app installed, write to us at info@spiritual-activity.org. Please send the message from the email address your account was created with — this is how we verify the request is coming from you.

We delete your access within 30 days at the latest, usually much sooner, and will confirm the deletion to you.

What Gets Deleted

On our server: your user account with name and email address, your personal notes on the exercise cards, your favorites and reading progress, your language settings, all device information and open sessions, your profile including visibility setting, as well as any still-open registration codes.

On your device: the session, your notes, and all downloaded course content and images.

You will also no longer appear on your course's participant list.

What Remains — and Why

What's deleted is your access to the app, not your record in our participant management system. That's the key distinction.

We retain registration and core data for ten years, as required by German commercial and tax law.

A hash value of your email address remains stored indefinitely. It cannot be reversed and does not contain your address in plain text. It prevents a new account from being silently created with the same address. If you'd like to participate again later, just write to us and we'll release the address.

We also keep records of when and in which version you consented to or objected to promotional communications. These serve solely as proof.

The Newsletter Stays Active

If you've subscribed to our newsletter, it does not end when your account is deleted. It's based on a separate consent and is unaffected by this.

You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every newsletter email.

Data Backups

We back up our database daily so nothing is lost in the event of a technical failure. Deleted data may persist in these backups for up to twelve months , and longer in certain incident-related backups.

These backups are only accessed for recovery purposes. In normal operation, the data is gone once deleted.
